Sertica is expanding its operations in the Asian maritime market by opening a subsidiary in Singapore.

Shippin goes to Singapore

The Asian maritime market is developing rapidly. Most shipping companies are increasing their focus on this attractive market and many have already established local subsidiaries. SERTICA has roots in the innovative Blue Denmark and to accommodate the growing demands in the Asian market it was natural to open a local office in Singapore.

In recent years the importance of Asia for the shipping industry has increased enormously. The eight largest seaports in the world are located in Asia and with a high level of intra-Asia cargo combined with growing shipbuilding activities, Asia is becoming increasingly attractive for shipping companies.

Proximity and personal contacts are key for all participants in entering the Asian market. SERTICA is a system that people use on a daily basis and therefore is it extremely important to be present with a local support wherever the users are. Mr. Rajesh Pillai will be spearheading the new office in Asia.

The establishment of a new office is the first investment in a predicted steady growth in the Asian market and Rajesh is looking positive on the venture: “I am looking forward to developing Logimatic’s activities in Asia by assisting the existing customers as well as exploring new business opportunities in the market”
