Scandlines signs up for SERTICA

23 November, 2018

Scandlines, one of Europe’s leading ferry operators, signs up for selected HSQE modules. Initially, the focus is on integrating a safety management system with the implementation of the SERTICA Management Systems module

The vision at Scandlines is green ferry operation. They already operate with hybrid ferries which are much more eco-friendly than conventional ferries. A hybrid ferry operates on a combination of conventional fuel and electricity. Scandlines’ goal is to operate the Rødby – Puttgarden route emission free, which is their project ZERO EMISSION.

In the beginning of December, Scandlines is initiating the implementation of SERTICA to ensure easy access and management of their documents. A contract has been signed to implement the safety management system to all eight vessels routing between Germany and Denmark.

Rasmus Nis Hansen, Project Manager at Logimatic says, “I am pleased that Scandlines has chosen SERTICA and I look forward to be working on the project. By implementing SERTICA HSQE, Scandlines will manage all documents related to safety in the Safety Management System, which will enhance the efficiency of their daily workflow.”

Palle Broberg Jensen, Nautical Superintendent at Scandlines agrees and adds, “We wish to work even more structured with safety and quality. To do this, we need a system which both covers our needs and is simple to use. It is vital that our employees understand how and why to use the system and I believe SERTICA is the best match for us – both in terms of functionality and user-friendliness.”
