The IMPA Marine Stores Guide provides a universal coding system to facilitate communication between ships' crew, owner/manager offices and marine suppliers. IMPA’s mission is to promote and facilitate co-operation and understanding between purchasers and suppliers in the global maritime business.
There are three different types of data licenses in the Marine Stores Guide:
a) Buyers: for shipowners/ship management companies.
b) Suppliers: for ship suppliers.
c) Publisher License: for manufacturers, wholesalers and ship suppliers.
Hans Chr. Jensen, Head of sales at Logimatic says, “As an MSG reseller we are able to offer our customers a wider solution. By including the electronic MSG data in our SERTICA Procurement system, our customers are able to save time creating and processing requisitions.”
*The Marine Stores Guide is used by 100s of shipping companies worldwide and it removes the hassle from the purchasing process and saves you time and money. It contains 42,000 products across 34 categories, so you can find what you need, when you need it and get it to where it needs to be. Language is not a barrier, since products are identified by a universal six-digit code.
International Marine Purchasing Association (IMPA) was formed in 1978 by a group of senior purchasing executives who wanted to create an industry 'voice' to represent the interests of the purchasing profession within shipping and promote close co-operation and understanding between buyer and supplier. Over the past 39 years the association has grown significantly and now represents over 850 members from across the world.
