Arctia, a customer of Logimatic, has acquired a brand new icebreaker vessel, the Polaris. The vessel is the first LNG-powered icebreaker in the world, powered by both diesel and LNG, i.e. liquefied natural gas, which reduces emissions significantly. The ship features the highest technology and has been designed especially for the demanding icebreaking operations in the Gulf of Bothnia, northern Baltic Sea. Arctia has chosen Logimatic as their fleet management system provider for their brand new icebreaker. The company will install SERTICA Maintenance on board their 3000 tonne vessel.
